  • Something about me people don't know . . .

I love hats.  I love to look at them, own them, wear them - I love them.  More than I do shoes, and my family has been calling me Emelda Marcos for years . . . so that tells you something about how much I love shoes.

What got me on this?  I answered five or six surveys that were sent to me last evening and this morning.  None of them were exactly the same - but there were three of them that asked to name something random about yourself, or something people don't know.  For the first time in a long time, the image of a hat popped into my head.  I was looking through my nik-naks this morning and came across some porcelain hats and shoes that had been my grandmothers - I guess THAT's where I got my 'hat-love' from!

I'm old fashioned - not just old school - totally old fashioned. Heck - I can find any reason on earth to add a hat to any occassion - HEH!  I don't feel really dressed up unless my shoes match my purse, and I have a hat on.  Add gloves, and we've taken the outing into a HNL (LMAO!) - hoe nuva levuw.

I've often wondered what the Tazmanian Devil would be like on prozac - Today, I think I know.  There's so much going on in my head right now . . . so much I want to do - to start - to finish!  On the outside, I'm cool as a cucumber.  But there's a whirling dervish bouncing around on the inside - and the contrast reduces me to a laughing hyena at the most inappropriate times!

We saw my nephew Bobby off to Pensecola for six months of study and training with the Air Force.  He was here for ten days between graduation from training camp in Texas and moving to Pensecola, but it seemed like we'd just picked him up at BWI yesterday!  Everyone in the family wanted to see him - and he made the rounds within a very extensive extended family network - so I only got to spend what amounted to a day and a half with my oldest and closest nephew!  There were tears all around as we begged Bob to write or email with his address as soon as he got settled in, even Dad teared up.  MikNik, my neice's 1 1/2 year old was on my son's shoulders as we were getting in the last waves and blowing kisses until Bob disappeared with other military men behind doors seperate from the area "regular" passengers used.  Amid sniffles and forced smiles, MikNik pops out - "There's the Bob!" and I just start braying!  If my son's hands were'nt full, I swear he'd have decked me! LOL

Let's see - AH!  It seems KANE is on his way to Italy to promote the opening of his movie, "SEE NO EVIL" there on July 28th!  The movie has been translated and bears the title II Collezionista di Occhi (The Eyes Collector). Loses something in the translation - the movie was about more than the fact Jacob collected eyes.  Still, I like the fact "SEE NO EVIL" is getting a kind of second wind!  I hope the movie is as well received among KANENITES there as it was here!

I'm interested in seeing "Lady in the Water"!  I don't really get the premise - I'll probably pop over and see the trailer - but the TV ads look promising!   "Monster House" is also on my list of movies to see this summer too!

Well - I've got some javascript to research - so much to learn and so little time!

UGH! Today was one of THOSE days ~ Everybody needed everything . . . yesterday.  And ye old friend, Tooth-Ache, is back with a vengence!   Guess it's time for a trip to the dentist

On the bright side, the DVD for KANE's SEE NO EVIL movie will be out November 28th!  I can't wait!  I went to the movie on opening day with my son and a couple of friends - TOTALLY enjoyed it!  Then I went back a couple of weeks later, after finishing the book - and I loved it even more!  The book adds more background that absolutely enhances seeing the movie!  Having the DVD means I can watch KANE in action anytime I want.

    Delightful Discoveries

I received an email this morning that would prove to bring me delight, since you dear beautiful friend Kaney613 introduced me to XANGA!

I've not been the most faithful poster to any of the weblogs I've tested, but I believe this is a place where I'll totally enjoy blogging and meeting people!

Thanks, Kaney613 ~ mayhaps I'll be able to return the flavor!

About Me

  • Forged from the Fire that Still Burns in the breast of the Mighty KANE, I am the WyldeFyre, older than the years offered here, older even than the first nightmare or the first insane thought. I am come from lands not found on any map, whose name has never dropped from any man's lips . . . yet hovers on the outer edge of memory. I am she who feeds on the deeds of My Lord KANE.
